Blow Molding Extrusion

Extrusion blow molding is a plastic processing technique that combines extrusion with blow molding technology to produce hollow containers such as bottles, jerry cans, and other packaging. This method ensures high production efficiency and great flexibility in creating items with complex shapes.

How does the extrusion blow molding process work?

The process begins with the extrusion of a molten plastic tube, called a parison, which is then transferred into a mold. Once the mold is closed, compressed air is blown into the parison, causing it to expand and take on the desired shape. After cooling, the piece is removed from the mold.

Key features of the process:

  • Versatility: Allows for the production of hollow items of various shapes and sizes, ideal for the packaging industry.
  • Production efficiency: Enables high volumes of products to be manufactured with precision in a short time.
  • Waste reduction: Thanks to material control and precision, production waste is minimized.
